Last night was vampire night at the Carnival and we had a bloody good time of it! Everyone was decked out in their vampiric best and there was more than enough blood to go around. I think I got a hold of a drunk one so I was a bit tipsy but nevertheless! A good time was had by all and if you missed it then shame on you! The hot fangtooth in this pic is Griete, just one of the many incredibly strange carnies you will find at Carnival of Doom.

All About "That Guy"

This is so utterly right on that I cannot even add to it so just fucking read it.

Sometimes it is not about you. If you have ever received a LiveJournal response anywhere along the lines of "your life, so hard", or "let me tell you, internet, it is tough being a white man", or "get off the cross, we need the wood", this is a sign that you have been That Guy.

Does this make you angry? Does it make you feel upset? Do you feel like your right to speak, like your right to be heard, has been silenced?

That's the space many women live in all the time. And we can't put it down and go back to a place where that silencing doesn't exist the way you can. Because for us, the conversation you just took over was that space, and we are sick and tired of repeating this fact over and over and over again.

Bloody Dolly Dances

And here I am all bloodied up for the Carnival of Doom. What can I say? They appeal to the bloodier side of my nature. This was for the Child's Worst Nightmare" party. Unfortunately in this shot you cna't see my wind up key but I was a murderous dolly. Now I am not sure how many of you ever had this nightmare but I swear that I used to have nightmares about my dolls coming to life and trying to kill me. PErhaps this explains something about me? Either way, it was an amazing time and we had a full house. I will be back at the CoD on Tuesday at 6 PM SLT for the Strange Girls event. Be there or be a yellow bellied coward!

Hoppy Easter!

Hope it's going well for all of you. Me? I'm having a boring Sunday at home...just the way I like them. :)

Just wanted to drop a line and let you all know that I have let go of my Arsheba and Sidhe gigs for now. The times were not working out for me and I am trying to carve out more time for RL stuff so I had to let them go. Rest assured that the old faves, Junkyard, Tiphares, Mutation and Carnival, are all still around and I am enjoying them still.

TOnight I tried on my evil puppet look and WOWOWOWOWOWOW!!!!! Is this not amazing? This photo was taken by Kaxu Heron at my Friday night gig, which was even more fun than last week. I will be back at Carnival of Doom tomorrow at 6 PM SLT for our Gothabilly night so come on over and check us out. I promise it will be a scream. :)

Hey hey Folks! Miriam here saying hello and posting about my newest and possibly most favorite gig ever! I am now DJing at the new Rezzable sim: Carnival of Doom. It's like Halloween there everyday and I love it and my new Carny coworkers. I highly suggest you check it out. Not only is there plenty of macabre amusement to be found but you will also find some truly excellent and twisted fashion. I DJ there Friday nights at 6 PM SLT so come on over to the North Barn and dance in the blood rain with us. I promise we won't bite... very hard.
